This limited edition Porto Cruz port miniature wooden box gift set is an ideal introduction to the different styles of port from renowned Cruz Port or just the perfect gift for any port lover, to enjoy as an aperitif or digestive.
Contains one bottle of Tawny, one of Ruby and one of White in an engraved wooden box with a cotton handle. . 3x50ml.
- CRUZ TAWNY is a Red Port with red berry notes that perfectly accompanies dried fruits, and melon. Its red colour has light coppery undertones. Its nose features aromas of strawberries and raspberries. Its taste reveals generous red and dried fruit flavours. CRUZ Tawny may be enjoyed at room temperature or chilled on the rocks for cocktail hour. CRUZ Tawny is prepared with red grape varieties and is aged in oak casks for four years.
- CRUZ RUBY is a Ruby Port, with red fruits flavours that goes perfectly with chocolate desserts. It is a young Red Port with a nice ruby colour. The elegant and floral bouquet features fruity notes and its intense aroma is a reminiscent of red fruits and berries with a fresh and balanced finish. The fruity taste of CRUZ RUBY is ideal at room temperature and can be served as an aperitif or during a meal to accompany cheeses and chocolate desserts. CRUZ Ruby is produced from the finest red grapes varieties, harvested by hand.
- CRUZ WHITE is a White Port with citrus notes. It may be enjoyed on the rocks or as part of a cocktail, and is the perfect accompaniment for almonds and citrus fruits. It has an amber golden colour. Its nose develops a floral, delicately fruity fragrance of apples and pears. Its velvety, refined taste spreads into citrus, dried fruit and honey notes. CRUZ White may be enjoyed on the rocks, straight up or in a long drink with tonic water for example. CRUZ White is prepared using white grape varieties according to a specific wine-making process which includes a short maceration period in vats.
The reputation of the CRUZ House is the result of age-old expertise that has been passed down from generation to generation and has been awarded medals many times. CRUZ possesses one of the oldest and most beautiful quintas of the Douro Valley, the Quinta de Ventozelo, which stretches over 400 hectares and enables the production of a large range of premium Ports, from the simplest to the most complex, for every occasion.

The history of Port wines began in the Douro Valley in the northwest of Portugal. Wines of this type were already produced in this region while it was still part of Ancient Rome. But it was only in 1675 that the Port designation became truly recognized. It takes its name from the famous port city that was already exporting these wines to the rest of the world. In 2001, the Douro Valley was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
